Biographie
Professor Andrea Fossati is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist at the Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy Service of San Raffaele Turro Hospital, and he also collaborates with the Istituto di Cura Città di Pavia.
After graduating with honors in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, Professor Fossati earned a Ph.D. in Research Methodology in Psychology and a specialization, also with honors, in Clinical Psychology from the same university.
Since graduation, Professor Fossati has worked in clinical and research roles in the field of clinical psychology, with a particular focus on diagnostic assessment and both adaptive and dysfunctional aspects of personality. His research interests include the application of quantitative methods in clinical psychology, including the Italian calibration of major assessment tools for DSM-5.
Clinically, Professor Fossati specializes in psychodiagnosis and individual psychotherapy for personality disorders.
He is also a member of the International Society for the Study of Personality Disorders (ISSPD) and the European Society for the Study of Personality Disorders (ESSPD). From 2010 to 2016, he served on the International Classification of Diseases – 11th Revision (ICD-11) Working Group for the Reclassification of Personality Disorders.
Professor Fossati has authored over 160 scientific publications and has participated extensively in national and international conferences in his field.
